Lighthouse Teknologies' Quest network has a proven "up-time" percentage of 98%-99%. It is incredibly stable with bandwidth provided via a full fiber connection to Qwest along with 3 DS3's for a whopping total of 9 MB. Bandwidth can immediately be upgraded in DS3 increments or greater if needed.
The Qwest network offers customers the only OC-192 (10 gigabits per second) all-optical, coast-to-coast backbone. This advanced network technology enables Lighthouse Teknologies to pass on efficiencies, such as decreased provisioning times and increased performance. Qwest recently set a land speed record by carrying live commercial traffic over an OC-768 (40 gigabits per second) connection at speeds four times faster than any existing commercial network over the longest distance - 435 miles.
Our network backbone is based on Cisco routers and switches, managed and monitored by SNMP programs running on FreeBSD/UNIX servers.
Lighthouse Teknologies has multiple Adtran CSU/DSU's connected to a Cisco 3600 Series Router, which is connected to a Cisco RPS (Redundant Power Supply). A 48 hours battery backup is available for standby power.
